PITTSBURGH (KGO) - It's not just that the company's new ad campaign to encourage people to have sex is a little bit too sexual --
And the company said it has no plans to change the way it offers the erectile dysfunction drugs.
"It is very sexual and very powerful," said the company's director of media operations, Rob Payson.
"I am not sure what you are asking me to do, but I do understand that they are very powerful and very highly regarded," said Payson.
The ad, which features Viagra ads for people who suffer from erectile dysfunction, was released in early November.
Last year, the company reported that it had reached a sales revenue of $7 million, compared with $2.2 million a year earlier, in part because of the campaign, which included "sex-fueled" ads and "a lot of nudity."
In the past few years, Pfizer has become the biggest drug company in the world, accounting for nearly 80 percent of all sales of the drug, according to company data.
But while Pfizer's sales are down, the company is up almost 6 percent since last year.
Payson said he wants to see the company's sales growth for the next three years, and the company's revenue growth is in line with his previous years.
The company's ads are based on a very personal message, and Payson says he has been taking the time to read all the ads on the website and to watch all of them for free. The ads are designed to be free, which means that he doesn't have to spend a lot of money on the ad itself.
Payson said he would like to see the ads "be able to focus on the sex part," which he hopes will lead to a lot of couples seeing their partners in the bedroom.
"I would like to see the ads be able to focus on the sex part," he said, "and that would be the biggest part of the message."
While he did not say why Pfizer wants to change the way it offers the erectile dysfunction drugs, Payson said he is willing to give the company's sales as much as possible.

But Payson said he is not certain what he should do about the ads. He said he would like to see the company's sales growth as much as possible.
"I think that is the most important thing in the world for Pfizer," he said. "It is an important business for them to have. I think it is a very strong business."
Payson said that he believes that the advertising was created in order to make Pfizer more attractive to men, but he said that has not been true for him.
"The way they have used it is not very good," said Payson. "It has been very, very successful."
Payson said that he has no plans to make any changes to the ads, and that he will continue to work with him on creating a new campaign, which will be based on Viagra ads.
Payson said the ads that he has seen are "very sexual and very powerful," and he is not sure what the company wants to do. He has heard from other employees who have expressed support of Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs, including Pfizer.

Scientists are investigating the link between a prescription drug and the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
